This web deals exclusively with X10 technology. This technology is by far the most popular today because of its low price, modularity, ease of installation and extensive applications base.

However, home automation is by no means limited to X10. This page lists links to other methods of home automation. These technologies shine where X10 lack, mainly in reliability and response time. They, however, usually much costlier, and in many cases sell to installers only.
